EEOC Issues New Workplace Rights Poster for Immediate Use
The EEOC has released a new “Know Your Rights” poster, which can be accessed here.
The new poster was originally released on October 19, 2022, and quickly replaced with an updated version on October 20th. The “Know Your Rights” poster replaces the “EEO is the Law” notice and includes additional information regarding federal laws prohibiting job discrimination and a QR code in which applicants and employees can use to link directly to EEOC instructions on filing workplace discrimination charges.
Employers should remove the “EEO is the Law” poster and prominently display the new poster (the revised 10/20/22 version) in their workplaces. In addition to the physical posting, employers should distribute it electronically to remote workers and/or post it electronically to make it accessible to applicants and employees.
